Ballooning the Outback!
Outback Ballooning offers a great way to experience the vast remoteness and spectacular desert landscapes of the Red Centre from above!  See the sun rise as your balloon crosses spinifex grass, mulga bushes and outback cattle stations.  You are almost certainly guaranteed to see red kangaroos and if you’re lucky you might get to witness the legendary Ghan arriving into Alice Springs as you prepare to land for a scrumptious champagne bush breakfast.

Flying Camels…
Anangu Waai, an Aboriginal-owned tourism organization, has joined forces with Alice Springs Helicopters to offer the ultimate tour of Alice Springs.  Venture down the Todd River on board a cute fury camel and learn about these incredible animals as you take in the sites and sounds of Australia’s most famous outback town.  You’ll then take to the skies in your very own private helicopter tour!  Fly over Honeymoon Gap, along Mt Gillen ridgeline to Heavitree Gap and take in the spectacular views of the red desert landscapes. This unique tour ends with pre-dinner drinks while watching the sunset over the magnificent MacDonnell Ranges.

Aurora Alice Springs
Aurora Alice Springs has just completed a major $1.5 million dollar refurbishment, which included substantial room redevelopment, a new reception area and a dramatic facelift to the front of the complex.  The recent refurbishment coupled with being the most centrally located accommodation in Alice, makes this the place to stay! The banks of the famous Todd River on one side and the Todd mall on the other, this 109 room property is the only accommodation situated on the Todd mall.

Real Travelers Real Reviews!
We recently hosted some wholesalers from North America on a trip to Arnhem Land.  Our group of five had a wild time experiencing big nature and culture at Seven Spirit Bay, the Arnhem Land Barramundi Lodge and Davidson’s Arnhem Land Safaris!

Here’s some feedback on each property:

“Davidson’s Cultural Tours was probablythe most amazing tour or experience I have ever had. The rock art, wetlands, birds are obviously first class, but the boats and vehicles that Davidson’s has to access these areas are really what makes it. In terms of guiding you don’t get much better than Max. His knowledge and professionalism were first class.”

“In terms of service, facilities etc, I thought the Barramundi Lodge had it pretty much spot on. I thought the food was the best we had on the trip, the accommodations and facilities were excellent, and all the staff made for a very welcoming atmosphere. The lodge has a fantastic location, and the hosts run the camp extremely well. The back patio had a stunning view with lots of wildlife you could see right from lodge.”

Seven Spirit Bay was certainly a spot to be recommended, when we send the right customers. The accommodation is four star but very unique and the feeling to be out there in the wilderness surrounded still by some great comfort is hard to describe. Is a place to wind down and recharge your batteries. We were lucky in regard to wildlife – a water buffalo was just next to the road, only meters away. This product is certainly ready for our market.”

“The Bawanunga Cultural Tour was my favorite day of the fam. I learned more about modern Aboriginal culture in one day than in 10+ years of visiting & living in Australia.”

Henley-on-Todd Regatta, Alice Springs, September 16
While the red centre of Australia is not famous for its flowing rivers or waterways, once a year the dry sands of the Todd River transform to host the famous Henley-on-Todd Regatta! Oarsmen, Vikings and pirates race in bottomless ‘eights’, ‘oxford tubs’, bath tubs and yachts through the coarse sand of the Todd River, providing a refreshing spectacle among world sporting events.
